Twilight Voyage

This picture was taken by my Wife in Kissimmee, Florida. I had just parked my tractor after delivering a two part load to Miami and then to Tampa, Florida. This was the last major run for 30175. I parked it for the last time in Hilliard, Ohio with over 750,000 miles on it. It will be sold along with other tractors to foreign countries for continued use there.

I spent the day and night with my Wife at our time share property in Kissimmee before I drove back to Ohio with a load of Briggs and Stratton engines to be delivered to Willard, Ohio before parking the tractor for the last time in Hilliard, Ohio.

Below is a picture of my Wife and I enjoying breakfast at our time share in Kissimmee, Florida on the morning of my arrival.

Flagship

I was driving along I-20 East heading towards Atlanta when I saw a truck approaching me from behind. I was very impressed by the paint job on the truck. It had the flag painted on it, stars and stripes across the hood and flared into the rest of the tractor. The tractor was pulling Marines trailer, the ones with the advertisement to join the Marines, the few, the proud.

As the truck got closer an image came into view on the grill of the tractor. At first I thought it was an eagle, but as it got closer I could see that it was writing. The words really hit deep into my heart as I thought about what it said. The words were:

"Bring them home or send me back"

I cannot agree with this more. Either finish the war or bring home our country men and women. "Get-R-Done"

To this adieu, I share this video from "you tube" with you.

Enjoy.
